Learn to Fall
Helping you prepare for the unexpected — in the place it matters most: YOUR HOME
Did You Know?
Nearly 80% of falls happen at home.
Around 1 in 3 adults aged 65+ experience a fall each year.
Falls are one of the leading causes of injury and hospitalisation in older adults.
Hip and wrist fractures are common, and many people are unable to get up independently after a fall.
While we can’t prevent every fall, we can improve how your body responds.
.
Why I Created the Learn to Fall Programme
This programme is personal to me.
I’ve been training in Taekwondo for the past three years, where I’ve trained alongside older adults — including one gentleman in his early 70s. During a spinning kick, he lost his balance, fell, and calmly stood back up.
That moment stayed with me.
It made me realise that balance reactions, bone resilience, and recovery skills can be trained. With the right guidance, our bodies can learn to respond better and more safely.
My goal isn’t to ask clients to wear helmets at home or endlessly perform squats without learning how to protect themselves. I want them to understand how to dissipate force, protect their head and vulnerable areas, and respond intelligently if a fall does happen.
We cannot prevent everything in life. But if something does happen, we can prepare our bodies to minimise the damage. Like we wear seatbelts not because we plan to crash, but because we prepare for the unexpected.
.
How This Programme Is Different
Traditional falls prevention focuses on strength, balance, and reducing risk factors. However, they rarely include structured perturbation-based training. You can’t teach someone to drive just by showing them driving videos — they need to practise it themselves.
Therefore, this programme is designed to go one step further — we practise safer responses and train them repeatedly until they become muscle memory.
Alongside strength and balance training, we practise:
Controlled descent strategies
Safe landing and protective responses
Floor confidence and recovery skills
Reactive stepping and balance reactions
And more — contact us to find out how this programme can support you.
This is not martial arts training — it is physiotherapy‑guided training, helping your body develop safer, more automatic responses.
.
Who May Benefit?
This programme may be suitable for adults aged 60 and above, especially those who:
Have experienced previous falls
Feel fearful of falling
Struggle to get up from the floor
Have reduced confidence with mobility
Want to move more freely — even to play with grandchildren on the floor
All participants undergo a physiotherapy assessment to ensure suitability. The programme is individually tailored and progressed safely. It is not appropriate for everyone, and screening is essential.
.

Recover well. Move better. Return to life with confidence.
After surgery, the right rehabilitation can make all the difference in how safely and confidently you return to everyday life — especially if you need to get back to granny duties. We commonly help clients recover from:
Total Knee Replacement

Vestibular Rehabilitation
Feel steady, confident, and in control.
Dizziness, vertigo, and balance problems can make everyday life feel unpredictable — from turning in bed and walking through busy places to driving, working, or simply feeling steady on your feet. Vestibular rehabilitation provides targeted physiotherapy to help identify the cause of your symptoms and guide you back to moving with more confidence.
We support people experiencing:
BPPV
Vestibular neuritis
Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness — PPPD
Vestibular migraine
Balance disorders
Inner ear–related dizziness
Tinnitus-related concerns
Treatment is tailored to your symptoms and may include repositioning manoeuvres, gaze stability exercises, balance retraining, and gradual movement exposure. We also work collaboratively with GPs, ENT specialists, surgeons, and audiologists to support coordinated care when needed.
General Physiotherapy
Care for everyday aches and pains, from acute injuries to chronic conditions.
General physiotherapy is for anyone dealing with pain, stiffness, weakness, injury, or reduced movement that affects daily life. Whether it’s a recent sprain, back or neck pain, a flare-up, a sports injury, or an ongoing issue that hasn’t fully settled, treatment is tailored to your symptoms, lifestyle, and goals.
Your appointment may include a thorough assessment, hands-on treatment, exercise rehabilitation, movement advice, and practical strategies to help you recover, manage symptoms, and prevent things from recurring.
This service is also ideal if you’re looking for a second opinion — especially if you’ve been told different things, feel unsure about your diagnosis, or want a clearer plan moving forward.
We commonly help with:
Back and neck pain
Shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle pain
Muscle strains and ligament sprains
Sports and gym injuries
Work-related aches and postural pain
Persistent or recurring pain
Mobility, strength, and balance concerns
The goal is simple: to help you understand what’s going on, feel more confident in your body, and get back to the activities that matter to you.
Corporate Ergonomic
Sit better. Work better. Feel better.
A comfortable workstation can make a big difference to how you feel during and after work.
Our ergonomic workstation assessment is a practical, collaborative discussion designed to help you improve your setup — not a lecture on what you’re doing “right” or “wrong”.
We look at the whole work environment, including your chair, desk height, screen position, keyboard and mouse setup, lighting, sound, space, and daily work habits.
The aim is to understand how you work and make realistic adjustments that support comfort, movement, and productivity.
This service can be helpful for individuals, teams, and workplaces wanting to reduce aches, improve workstation comfort, or support staff working from the office or home.
Recommendations are tailored to your role, space, equipment, and budget, with a focus on practical changes that are easy to apply. Small adjustments can often make work feel much better.
We provide ergonomic workstation assessments for:
Law firms
Real estate offices
Accounting offices
Private individual clients
Home office workers
